Post Hypnotc Suggestion (or PHS) is a term derived from hypnosis sessions in which the "patient" is told something happened, whether or not it did, and then later remembers this event as though it did happen. This type of event is ussually associated with UFO abductees, or child abuse casses. Although this could be considered tampering with evidence, in some cases, it is nearly impossible to prove one way or another that it ever occured. Being that no one knows what the person does, millions of people world wide are exposed to PHS every year. Only a hand full of them ever remember it happening. This is especially so in the case of a young Benema Renquiler. He was a young lad whose parents taught him the meaning of money. Like many kids his age, he was 13. Sometime near after his fifteenth birthday, he was taken aboard a strange craft which looked, well like a UFO. After being severly probed his parents sent him to a child psychologist. Who in turn regressed him to the night in question. The therapist then "suggested" that the "UFO" was in fact the families "station wagon" and that the "aliens" doing the "probing" were actually his "Uncle Pete" doing "some probing of his own". Uncle Pete is currently serving time in jail, and Benema now has some original memories starting to seep back into his brain. He now believes uncle Pete is a traveler from a distant planet not unlike the inside of a studebaker, and that waffles are out to ruin the world. In this instance we see that PHS has ruined not only one life, but many around it.
We wanted this song to convey the feeling of hoplessness of having false memories implanted into ones head. The song is slow, somber, depressing, and melodramatic. Much like the fable of "The prince, the pauper, the frog, and the bar of depleted uranium 255".
